2-D: Gargoyle Reflection, March, 2013- The main, strong, parts of my clay project, I belive was my creativity level. I believe I did something out of the box due to oblong face.
-I belive I could have painted my project better, it seems a bit rushed. -It appears to look like a skull, but is stretched out in a oblong V shaped, with gouged out eyes and a long open mouth. This is to show the ugly side of my gargoyle. Weaving through the eyes and mouth of my gargoyle is a vine, and a rose on top. This shows a much more prettier, brighter side of it. -The form of my gargoyle, like I said before, is a oblong shape. It has a pointy chin and slightly resembles a chili peper- but isn't one, of course. -I painted the main skull a black color, the eyes a faded white/gray color, the vine green and the rose a red color. The colors really help out the theme I was going for. The black is scary and deep, the plant is bright and cheerfull. -My gargoyle was not as planned as I thought I wanted it to be. It was fun and I enjoyed it. Focusing on the emotion in this project, taught me that emotion can make the project much more deep. I'm going to try and put more emotion into my projects from now on.
